Mexican Riviera & Sea of Cortez Cruise: December 10 — December 21, 2024

The Koningsdam has four main entertainment venues; the World Stage, the Rolling Stone Lounge, the B.B. King's Blues Club, and Billboard Onboard .

The World Stage is a very impressive two deck theater featuring a two story 270 degree wrap around LED screen and configurable stage. Located on decks 2 and 3, the World Stage hosts presentations and talks during the day and two live shows in the evening at 7:30 pm and 9:00 pm. During our cruise there were daytime presentations on the history and art of Mexico and a virtual ship tour behind the scenes on the Koningdam. On our cruise the nightly performances included two shows each by an excellent singing group (the Latin Divos), a comedian, and a magician. The resident Step One Dance Company performed on three different evenings. Their varied shows highlighted their dance talents miraculously synchronized to the vivid imagery on LED screens. The World Stage is essentially a theatre-in-the-round where the LED surround screens replace the normal sets that you might see on a theater stage. You really have to see ithe performances on the World Stage to fully appreciate the technology.

Live music venues located on Deck 2 include the Rolling Stone Lounge, B.B. King's Blues Club, and Billboard Onboard. These live music venues feature bands and dual piano entertainment nightly. In the evening these venues are very crowded and the music is very loud. During the day these venues are used for other events and activities like the morning Coffee with the Cruise Director.
